Section 27-7-4.4 Fingerprints. (a) In order to make a determination of insurance producer license eligibility, the commissioner is authorized to require fingerprints of initial resident applicants for an insurance producer license and to submit the fingerprints and the fee required to perform the criminal history record checks to the Alabama Department of Public Safety and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for state and national criminal history record checks. (b) The commissioner shall require a criminal history record check on each initial resident applicant for insurance producer license in accordance with this section. Section 34-26-43.1 Fees; background checks; fingerprints; confidentiality. (a) The Board of Examiners in Psychology shall charge each candidate for licensure as a psychologist or psychological technician a fee sufficient to cover the entire actual costs of the examination of the applicant as well as the cost of criminal history and civil background checks of the applicant. (a) When reviewing an applicant for initial licensure under this article, the Board of Health may require a fingerprint-based state and national criminal background check through the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency for purposes of determining the applicant's suitability for licensure.
