Section 11-62-1 Definitions. (a) The following words and phrases used in this chapter, and others evidently intended as the equivalent thereof, shall, in the absence of clear implication herein otherwise, be given the following respective interpretations herein: (1) AUTHORITY. Any public corporation organized pursuant to this chapter. (2) AUTHORIZED PURPOSE OBLIGATION. The term includes either of the following: a. Section 5-13B-26 Examinations; periodic reports; cooperative agreements; assessment of fees. (a) To the extent consistent with subsection (c), the superintendent may make such examinations of any branch established and maintained in this state pursuant to this article by an out-of-state state bank as the superintendent may deem necessary to determine whether the branch is being operated in compliance with the laws of this state and in accordance with safe and sound banking practices. The provisions of Chapter 3A, Title 5, shall apply to such examinations.
