Section 41-5A-6 Chief examiner - Recovery audits for overpayments of state funds. (a) For the purposes of this section, the following words have the following meanings: (1) CHIEF EXAMINER. (a) The Sheriff of Cleburne County, Alabama, shall sell at public auction, in the manner provided in this section, abandoned and stolen personal property recovered by the Sheriff's Department of Cleburne County which property has remained unclaimed by the rightful owner thereof for a period of six consecutive months. (a) The sheriff of Madison County may operate a jail store and a telephone and messaging system for inmates within the confines of the Madison County Jail. The jail store and the telephone and messaging system shall each be operated to serve the needs of the county jail population.
