Section 11-44C-37 Mayor - Powers and duties. All executive powers of the city shall be vested
in the mayor and the mayor shall be the head of the executive and administrative branches
of the city government. He may attend council meetings but may not vote in its proceedings
and he shall have the power and duties herein conferred. The mayor shall be responsible for
the proper administration of all affairs of the city, and, except as otherwise provided herein,
he shall have the power and shall be required to: (1) Enforce all laws and ordinances, (2)
Appoint and remove, when necessary for the good of the service, all officers and employees

Section 16-33C-4 Composition of ACES board. (a) The Savings Board shall consist of 11 members
as follows: (1) The Lieutenant Governor, or his or her designee. (2) The Executive Director

Section 34-25B-8 Alabama Private Investigation Board - Promulgation of rules; canons of ethics;
personnel; legal services. (a) The board may promulgate rules necessary to implement this
chapter and accomplish its objectives subject to the Alabama Administrative Procedure Act.

Section 36-27-5 Membership - Members of Board of Pardons and Paroles; Director of Physical
Fitness Department. (a) Any person who has been regularly appointed to the state Board of

Section 9-16-80 Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Division - Creation; director; chief;
