Section 38-13-2 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) ADULT. An individual 19 years of age and older. (2) ADULT CARE FACILITY. A person or entity holding a Department of Human Resources license or approval or certification to provide care, including foster care, for adults. (3) APPLICANT. A person or entity who submits an application for license as a child care or adult care facility to the Department of Human Resources or a child placing agency, or an application for employment or for a volunteer position to a Department of Human Resources licensed child care or adult care facility. With regard to child care and adult care facilities in a home setting, the term includes an adult household member whose residence is in the home. Section 9-2-4 Powers and duties as to seafoods, etc. (a) The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources shall have full jurisdiction and control of all seafoods existing or living in the waters of Alabama and of all public and natural oyster reefs and oyster bottoms of the State of Alabama, and it shall ordain, promulgate and enforce all rules, regulations and orders deemed by it to be necessary for the protection, propagation or conservation of the same. Section 11-43A-18 Appointment of city manager; temporary acting city manager; removal; dealings with administrative service. The council, by a majority vote of the whole qualified membership of the council, shall appoint a city manager, who shall be an officer of the city, and shall have the powers to perform the duties in this article provided. No councilman shall receive such appointment during the term for which the council member shall have been elected nor within one year after expiration of the term.
