Section 16-60-51 Board of trustees - Organization; initial officers; vice-president; meetings; terms of members; compensation and expenses. The Governor shall be ex officio chairman of the board, and he shall call a meeting of such board within 60 days after September 15, 1961. At this meeting the board shall organize itself, make provisions for the preparation and adoption of bylaws and rules and regulations to govern it and elect a vice-president and a secretary-treasurer. The vice-president elected at the organizational meeting of the board shall hold office for a term of two years and until his successor has been elected. Successors to the vice-president elected at the organizational meeting of the board shall hold office for such time as is prescribed in the bylaws and rules adopted by the board. Section 11-18-3 Board of trustees; trust fund; contributions by county, state, etc. The county commission is authorized, with the approval of the Governor, to appoint a board of three trustees for the acquisition and maintenance of said lands and property. Said trustees shall be graduates of some high school or some reputable college, shall be men or women of public spirit, of means, and shall serve without compensation. Their terms and successors shall be fixed and determined by the county commission with the approval of the Governor.
