Section 22-34-5 Application for corporation; contents; officers; board of directors; record
of proceedings. (a) To become a corporation, the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, the Speaker
of the House, the director of the department and the Director of Finance shall present to
the Secretary of State of Alabama an application signed by them which shall set forth: (1)
The name, official designation and official residence of each of the applicants, together
with a certified copy of the commission evidencing each applicant's right to office; (2) The
date on which each applicant was inducted into office and the term of office of each of the
applicants; (3) The name of the proposed corporation, which shall be the "Alabama Water

Section 23-1-21.2 Authority of director with regard to public transportation. The director,
acting alone or through, and in cooperation with local entities, is hereby delegated the authority
to: (1) Enter into agreements with local entities to provide public transportation and to
administer any program or programs, whether rural or urban, relative to public transportation

Section 38-4-14 Limitations on use of public assistance benefits. (a) For the purposes of this
section, the term public assistance benefits means money or property provided directly or
indirectly to eligible persons through programs of the federal government, the state, or any
political subdivision thereof, and administered by the Alabama Department of Human Resources.
(b)(1) A recipient of public assistance benefits may not use any portion of the benefits for
the purchase of any alcoholic beverage, tobacco product, or lottery ticket. Any person who
