Section 19-3B-816 Specific powers of trustee. (a) Without limiting the authority conferred
by Section 19-3B-815, a trustee may: (1) collect trust property and accept or reject
additions to the trust property from a settlor or any other person, including, but not being
limited to, the authority to receive, collect, hold, and retain common or preferred stock
or other interests in the trustee or any related party; (2) acquire or sell property, for
cash or on credit, at public or private sale; (3) exchange, partition, or otherwise change

Section 24-1-27 Powers and duties of authority. (a) An authority shall constitute a
public body and a body corporate and politic exercising public powers, and having all the
powers necessary or convenient to carry out and effectuate the purposes and provisions of

Section 11-32-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases
shall mean the following unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) AD VALOREM TAX.
Those real and personal property ad valorem taxes collected by the county tax collector, the
director of revenue of the county, or revenue commissioner, if any, for the county, but shall
exclude all ad valorem taxes collected for the State of Alabama and all boards of education,

Section 11-53A-22 Notice to remedy unsafe condition or to demolish structure. (a) The
term "appropriate city official" as used in this article shall mean any city employee
designated by the mayor as the person to exercise the authority and perform the duties delegated

Section 11-99-4 Creation of tax increment districts and approval of project plans. In
order to exercise its powers under this chapter, a public entity shall take the following
steps: (1) The local governing body shall hold a public hearing at which all interested parties
are afforded a reasonable opportunity to express their views on the concept of tax increment
financing, on the proposed creation of a tax increment district and its proposed boundaries,
and its benefits to the public entity. Notice of the hearing shall be published in a newspaper
of general circulation in either the county or in the city, as the case may be, in which the
