Section 40-18-35 Deductions allowed to corporations. (a) The following items shall be deducted from federal taxable income for purposes of computing taxable income under this chapter: (1) Refunds of state and local income taxes. (2) Federal income tax paid or accrued during the taxpayer's taxable year. The portion of federal income tax deductible by a corporation earning income from sources both inside and outside of Alabama shall be determined by the ratio that the corporation's taxable income, computed without the deduction for federal income tax, apportioned and allocated to Alabama bears to the corporation's taxable income, computed without the deduction for federal income tax, apportioned and allocated everywhere. Section 41-9-219 Tax credit for qualified equity investment. The purchaser of the qualified equity investment, or subsequent holder of the qualified equity investment, earns a vested right to a tax credit and shall be entitled to utilize a portion of such tax credit during the taxable year including that credit allowance date equal to the applicable percentage for such credit allowance date multiplied by the purchase price paid to the issuer of the qualified equity investment. Section 40-14B-3 Application for certification. (a) The Director of the Alabama Development Office by rule shall establish the application procedures for certified capital companies. (a) The following minimum standards for domestic violence centers shall be used by the Department of Economic and Community Affairs to determine membership in the coalition or other qualified entity and eligibility for receiving funds administered by the Department of Economic and Community Affairs.
