and training; facilities. (a) The commission shall elect a chairman and a vice-chairman from
among its members at the first regular quarterly meeting of the calendar year. (b) The commission

Section 34-27C-2 Creation; composition; sunset provision. (a) The Alabama Security Regulatory
Board is created. Each member of the board shall be a citizen of the United States and a resident
of this state, and the appointing authorities shall coordinate their appointments so that
diversity of gender, race, and geographical areas is reflective of the makeup of this state.
The board shall consist of the following members: (1) Two members appointed by the Governor.
The appointees shall not be qualified to be licensed under this chapter, not be engaged in

Section 45-37-123.01 Definitions. For the purposes of this part, the following terms shall
have the following meanings: (1) ACT. The act adding this part, to be called the General Retirement
System for Employees of Jefferson County Act. (2) ACTIVE MEMBER. An individual who currently
is employed by the county or other entities set forth in subdivision (20) and is making employee
contributions to the system. (3) ACTUARIAL EQUIVALENT. Effective July 30, 1984, or such other

Section 34-21-126 Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators. (a) The
party states hereby create and establish a joint public entity known as the Interstate Commission
of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators. (1) The commission is an instrumentality of the
party states. (2) Venue is proper, and judicial proceedings by or against the commission shall
be brought solely and exclusively, in a court of competent jurisdiction where the principal
office of the commission is located. The commission may waive venue and jurisdictional defenses

(a) The Governor shall appoint a State Board of Auctioneers to be comprised of seven auctioneer
members and one consumer member. Except as otherwise provided by Act 98-271, all appointments
and subsequent appointments by the Governor shall be for a term of five years, with each auctioneer
member appointed being a resident of a different congressional district and the consumer member
being a resident of and appointed from the state at-large. Within 60 days after July 1, 1998,

Massage Therapy. The purpose of the board is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of
the public by ensuring that licensed massage therapists, massage therapy schools, and massage
