Section 12-8-6 Duties of conference generally. It shall be the duty of the Judicial Conference:
(1) To make a continuous study of the administration of justice in this state and of the organization,
procedure, practice, rules and methods of administration and operation of each and all of
the courts of the state; (2) To receive and consider and in its discretion investigate criticisms
and suggestions pertaining to the administration of justice in the state; (3) To prepare for
presentation to the Legislature at each regular session thereof a report of the proceedings
of the conference and its recommendations relative to improving the administration of justice
in Alabama and particularly of expediting the business of the courts and utilizing in the
most appropriate manner the judges of the circuit courts and district courts of the state.

Section 36-25-3 State Ethics Commission - Creation, composition; annual reports; compensation;
political activities; director; personnel. (a) There is hereby created a State Ethics Commission
composed of five members, each of whom shall be a fair, equitable citizen of this state and
of high moral character and ability. The following persons shall not be eligible to be appointed

Section 45-49-142.02 Duties of board. The board shall review and evaluate the delivery of volunteer
fire services to owners of dwellings and commercial buildings within the unincorporated area
in Mobile County Commission District 1 and any incorporated area in the district served by
a volunteer fire department. The board shall study and evaluate fire suppression, emergency
communication and dispatch, water supply and facilities, and the adequacy of fire protection
within the district. The board shall also review and collect data regarding a reasonable fire

agencies shall take special precautions to ensure that law enforcement records and files concerning
a child will be maintained in a manner and pursuant to those safeguards that will protect
against disclosure to any unauthorized person, department, agency, or entity. Unless a charge
of delinquency is transferred for criminal prosecution pursuant to Section 12-15-203 or the
juvenile court otherwise orders in the interests of the child or of national security, the

Section 12-23A-4 Establishment of drug court; participation; incentives and sanctions; components;

circuit, with the consent of the district attorney of that judicial circuit, may establish
a drug court or courts, under which drug offenders shall be processed, to appropriately address
