Section 40-27-1 Compact adopted; terms. The following Multistate Tax Compact is hereby
approved, adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article
I. Purposes. The purposes of this compact are to: 1. Facilitate proper determination of state
and local tax liability of multistate taxpayers, including the equitable apportionment of
tax bases and settlement of apportionment disputes. 2. Promote uniformity or compatibility
in significant components of tax systems. 3. Facilitate taxpayer convenience and compliance
in the filing of tax returns and in other phases of tax administration. 4. Avoid duplicative
taxation. Article II. Definitions. As used in this compact: 1. "State" means a state
of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or any territory

Section 45-4-130 Appointment; powers and duties; bond. (a) The Bibb County Commission,
or any succeeding county governing body performing the functions of the county governing body
in the county, shall employ a county engineer, who shall be a thoroughly qualified and competent
civil engineer, possessing all of the qualifications as specified for county engineers under
the general laws of the State of Alabama. The engineer shall devote his or her entire time
and attention to the maintenance and construction of the Bibb County public roads, highways,

Section 27-60-2 Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Compact. The State of Alabama
hereby agrees to the following interstate compact known as the Interstate Insurance Product
Regulation Compact: ARTICLE I. PURPOSES. The purposes of this compact are, through means of

of consumers of individual and group annuity, life insurance, disability income, and long-term

Section 12-15-102 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following words and phrases
have the following meanings: (1) ADULT. An individual 19 years of age or older. (2) AFTERCARE.
Conditions and supervision as the juvenile court orders after release from the Department
of Youth Services. (3) CHILD. An individual under the age of 18 years, or under 21 years of
age and before the juvenile court for a delinquency matter arising before that individual's

Section 27-61-1 Surplus Lines Insurance Multi-State Compliance Compact. The Surplus
Lines Insurance Multi-State Compliance Compact Act is enacted into law and entered into with

Section 45-45-32 Library board. (a) Upon the adoption of an ordinance by the Huntsville
City Council authorizing the appointment of two additional members to the library board established
by the City of Huntsville, two additional board members may be appointed to the library board

Section 11-90-4 Establishment and maintenance of joint library service. In lieu of establishing
or maintaining free public libraries exclusively for a single county or municipality in the
manner provided in this chapter, the library board of any county or municipality free public
