Section 36-14-11 Acts and resolutions of Legislature - Distribution to departments, officers, courts, etc.; electronic storage and distribution. (a) The Secretary of State shall retain for the use of the executive offices and the two houses of the Legislature the number of copies of all volumes of the acts and resolutions of each session necessary to provide for distribution pursuant to law. (a) Any laws to the contrary notwithstanding, whenever any litigation is instituted against any state department, division, board, bureau, commission, agency, institution, or officer or employee in their official or individual capacity relating to their official duties, such entity shall promptly notify the office of the Attorney General of the action. Section 36-7-24 Prepayment of traveling expenses of state officers and employees; annual examination and report of public accounts. (a) The departments and agencies of the State of Alabama are hereby authorized to prepay to employees of those departments and agencies an amount of money to be determined by the appointing authority of the various departments and agencies to pay necessary travel expenses for any one period of travel for such employees on authorized official state business inside or outside the State of Alabama.
