Section 11-98-1 Definitions. (a) As used in this chapter, the following words and terms have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) AUTOMATIC NUMBER IDENTIFICATION. An enhanced 911 service capability that enables the automatic display of the 10-digit telephone number used to place a 911 call. The term includes pseudo-automatic number identification, which means an enhanced 911 service capability that enables identification of the subscriber. (2) CMRS. Commercial mobile radio service under Sections 3(27) and 332(d) of the Federal Telecommunications Act of 1996, 47 U.S.C. ยง151 et seq., and Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993, Pub. Section 41-9-234 Committee on Alabama Monument Protection. (a) There is created the Committee on Alabama Monument Protection. (b) The legislative members of the committee shall be appointed and reappointed at the beginning of each legislative quadrennium. (a) A commission shall have the power to adopt rules and regulations specifying the conditions under which an operator, as part of its licensed activity, may cause televised simulcast programming of racing events, including both horse racing and greyhound racing, held at racetracks located outside the state to be transmitted for public viewing to a racetrack facility within the sponsoring municipality which is under the jurisdiction of such commission and there made the subject of pari-mutuel wagering. (a) This section applies to the siting of any new solid waste management facility, as defined in Section 22-27-2.
