Section 45-41-83.10 Authority of board. The board shall be vested with all authority necessary
to implement the purposes of this part, including, but not limited to, the authority necessary
to do all of the following: (1) Create or remove employment positions, set or alter pay scales,
employ, direct, regulate, supervise, and dismiss personnel, and obtain fidelity bonds for
the faithful performance of the duties of personnel. Any employment practices shall be in
accordance with applicable state and federal law. (2) Provide support and administrative services
for Lee County court referral officer programs, drug courts, district court probation, and

Section 25-4-51 Rates of contributions, etc., by employers. (a) Contributions. Except as hereinafter
provided and subject to the provisions of Section 25-4-54, every employer shall pay contributions,
or payments in lieu of contributions, equal to the percentages of wages payable or paid as
hereinafter set out, with respect to employment by him. (1) With respect to employment during
calendar years after December 31, 1975, every employer who has been liable to the provisions

Section 37-2A-8 Provision of basic telephone service and optional telephone features. (a)(1)
Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, an entity that is not an incumbent local
exchange carrier shall not be obligated to tariff or otherwise provide basic telephone service.
An incumbent local exchange carrier shall provide, upon reasonable request, basic telephone
service to the premises of a permanent residence within its franchised service territory,
if the costs, including, but not limited to costs of facilities, rights-of-way, and equipment,
of providing basic telephone service to the requesting party does not exceed eight thousand
dollars ($8,000). (2) If the cost exceeds eight thousand dollars ($8,000), as provided in

Section 27-44-3 Scope of chapter. (a) This chapter shall provide coverage for the policies
and contracts specified in subsection (b) as follows: (1) To persons who, regardless of where

Section 40-23-4 Exemptions. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and
from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division
the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined
in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating
oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state
purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports

together with all powers incidental thereto or necessary to the discharge thereof in corporate
