Section 36-15-21.1 Notification of actions against state entities; maintenance of information. (a) Any laws to the contrary notwithstanding, whenever any litigation is instituted against any state department, division, board, bureau, commission, agency, institution, or officer or employee in their official or individual capacity relating to their official duties, such entity shall promptly notify the office of the Attorney General of the action. This notification shall include a description of the controversy, the relief sought, and other information the Attorney General deems necessary.
