Section 36-12-1 Public officer or servant defined. A public officer or servant, as used in
this article, is intended to and shall include, in addition to the ordinary public offices,
departments, commissions, bureaus and boards of the state and the public officers and servants

Section 36-7-21 Allowances of persons traveling in service of the state; travel authorization.
(a) Persons traveling in the service of the state or any of its departments, institutions,
boards, bureaus, commissions, councils, committees, or other agencies, outside the State of

a convention, conference, seminar, or other meeting of a state, regional, or national organization

Section 41-4-350 Legislative findings; purpose. (a) The Legislature of Alabama hereby finds
and determines that the responsible stewardship of its state-owned and leased real property
is a proper governmental function of the State of Alabama. The Legislature finds that costs
for maintenance, construction, and leasing of real property in the state government comprise
