Section 40-18-370 Short title; legislative findings; definitions. (a) This article shall be
known and may be cited as the Alabama Jobs Act. (b) The Legislature makes the following findings:
(1) The economic well-being of the citizens of the state will be enhanced by the increased
development and growth of employment within Alabama. (2) It is in the best interests of the
state to provide certain incentives to allow the state to foster economic development through
the recruitment of quality projects and the expansion of existing businesses within Alabama.
(3) The incentives provided for in this article do not raise any taxes for any individuals
or businesses in Alabama under state law. (4) The incentives provided in this article will
allow the state to encourage the creation of new jobs that may not otherwise exist within
the State of Alabama. (5) The incentives provided in this article will increase revenues for

Section 41-28-9 Transfer of powers, duties, personnel, equipment, funds, etc., to Office of
Information Technology. (a) Effective on the date specified in accordance with subsection
(d), the Information Services Division of the Department of Finance, which was established
on March 19, 1997, by the Director of Finance with the approval of the Governor pursuant to

Section 45-42-162.21 Employees. (a) All permanent full-time and permanent part-time employees
of the city or county including employees of any department, board, commission, authority,
or agency shall become employees of the metropolitan-government and shall be assigned duties
as similar in nature as may be practicable within the metropolitan-government upon the effective
date of this part. Employees of boards, commissions, or authorities, which have been established
in response to federal or state legislation who are not employees of the city or county governments
at the time of the adoption of this part shall not be employees of the metropolitan-government.

Section 12-5A-10 Operating expenses; inventory of county-owned property; election to transfer
property to state; county to provide office space, etc. (a) Except as otherwise provided in
this chapter, the operating expenses for the employees and positions covered by this chapter
shall be paid by the state from funds appropriated annually to the Unified Judicial System
from the Juvenile Probation Services Fund beginning on October 1 of the year of transition
for counties having a population of 99,000 or less according to the 1990 federal decennial

Section 34-9-15 Annual registration; continuing education. (a) No person shall practice dentistry
or dental hygiene in the State of Alabama unless licensed or permitted by the board and registered
annually as required by this chapter. The secretary-treasurer of the board shall issue to
