Section 41-29-291 Composition. (a) The Alabama Workforce Council shall consist of the following members: (1) Fourteen members appointed by the Governor. (2) One member appointed by the Lieutenant Governor. (3) One member appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives. (4) One member appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate. Section 40-18-422 (Credit expires after 2025 tax year unless extended.) Tax credit for eligible employers of apprentices. (a) For tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2017, through the tax year beginning January 1, 2019, an Alabama income tax credit is allowed for eligible employers that employ an apprentice for at least seven full months of the prior taxable year.
