Section 22-18-64 Annual report; joint agreement; disposition of funds. (a) The ACCS
shall annually report on the condition and accomplishments of the tuition reimbursement program
to the Governor, Speaker of the House of Representatives, President Pro Tempore of the Senate,
the Chair of the House Ways and Means Education Committee, the Chair of the Senate Finance
and Taxation Education Committee, and the Deputy Director of the Legislative Services Agency,
Fiscal Division. The report shall include the number of students participating in the program
and the amount of tuition reimbursed for the reporting year. The member institutions of the
ACCS, the Fire College, and the University of South Alabama shall provide this information
to ACCS for inclusion in the annual report. The report shall be submitted by the fifth legislative

preparation programs; licensure and certification of teachers; professional learning. (a)

Section 40-23-204 Recommended changes in existing tax laws. (a) In addition to the duties
set out in Section 40-23-202, the commission shall research Alabama's existing tax
laws to identify what changes in existing law will be necessary in order to bring Alabama
in compliance with the agreement in the event that federal legislation adopting the agreement
becomes law. The commissioner of the department, or his or her designee, shall assist the
commission as necessary in carrying out this function, and once the commission's research

of the Department of Labor may prescribe rules and regulations for the purpose of conducting

recognizes that Erin Merryn was raped and molested for six and a half years by a neighbor
and a family member. She began a crusade her senior year of high school in 2004 to end the
silence and shame around sexual abuse. Erin's Law has been adopted in a number of states to
help address the problem of child sexual abuse. (2) The intent of Erin's Law is to shatter
the silence and stigma around child sexual abuse, and to educate children and empower them

Section 36-32-13 Joint Legislative Oversight Committee; transfer of certain employees
to State Merit System; membership of commission. (a) There is created the Joint Legislative
Oversight Committee of the Alabama Firefighters' Personnel Standards and Education Commission.
