Section 12-12-60 Electronic uniform non-traffic citation and complaint. (a)(1) Whenever any person is arrested for a violation of any non-traffic offense enumerated in Rule 20, Appendix B of the Alabama Rules of Judicial Administration, as adopted by the Supreme Court of Alabama, the arresting officer, unless otherwise provided in this section, shall take the name and address of the person and the license number or identification number of his or her motor vehicle or vessel, as appropriate, and shall issue a summons or otherwise notify him or her in writing to appear at a time and place to be specified in such summons, notice, or electronic uniform non-traffic citation and complaint (eUNTCC). (2) For purposes of this section, eUNTCC means a ticket that is electronically generated and printed at the site of a violation. (a) A sex offender may petition at sentencing, or if after sentencing, a sex offender may file a petition in the civil division of the circuit court in the county where the sex offender seeks to accept or maintain employment for relief from the employment restrictions pursuant to subsection (b) of Section 15-20A-13. Section 32-5A-191.4 Ignition interlock devices. (a) As used in Section 32-5A-191, the term, "ignition interlock device" means a constant monitoring device that prevents a motor vehicle from being started at any time without first determining the equivalent blood alcohol level of the operator through the taking of a breath sample for testing. The system shall be calibrated so that the motor vehicle may not be started if the blood alcohol level of the operator, as measured by the test, reaches a blood alcohol concentration level of 0.02.
