Section 16-6G-5 Reading and intervention programs; individual reading improvement plan; summer reading camps; Alabama Summer Achievement Program; retention of students; reporting requirements. (a) To ensure that public school students are able to read at or above grade level by the end of third grade, each local education agency shall offer a comprehensive core reading program to all students based on the science of reading which develops foundational reading skills. In addition, no school district may use any curriculum for public K-3 students that does not have instructional time included. (a) No business entity, employer, or public employer shall knowingly employ, hire for employment, or continue to employ an unauthorized alien to perform work within the State of Alabama. (a) As used in Section 32-5A-191, the term, "ignition interlock device" means a constant monitoring device that prevents a motor vehicle from being started at any time without first determining the equivalent blood alcohol level of the operator through the taking of a breath sample for testing. The system shall be calibrated so that the motor vehicle may not be started if the blood alcohol level of the operator, as measured by the test, reaches a blood alcohol concentration level of 0.02.
