Section 16-46B-5 Computer science education task force. (a) The Governor shall establish a computer science education task force to develop a state strategic plan for expanding computer science education in the public schools in Alabama. (a) The Governor shall formulate the program and financial plan to be recommended to the Legislature after considering each state agency's proposed program and financial plan. (a) The State Board of Education shall develop and establish a comprehensive plan for improving courses in science, mathematics, computer education and other critical needs areas. In developing such plan, the superintendent shall consult with teacher organizations, school personnel, legislative leaders, the Governor's office, representatives from private industry, public and private higher education and from the fields of education, mathematics, science and computer education. Section 26-16-6 Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board - Duties and functions of board and department.
