Section 45-41-83.10 Authority of board. The board shall be vested with all authority necessary to implement the purposes of this part, including, but not limited to, the authority necessary to do all of the following: (1) Create or remove employment positions, set or alter pay scales, employ, direct, regulate, supervise, and dismiss personnel, and obtain fidelity bonds for the faithful performance of the duties of personnel. Any employment practices shall be in accordance with applicable state and federal law. (2) Provide support and administrative services for Lee County court referral officer programs, drug courts, district court probation, and other alternative sentencing programs. Section 27-31A-3 Risk retention groups chartered in this state. (a)(1) A risk retention group shall, pursuant to this title, be chartered and licensed to write only liability insurance pursuant to this chapter and, except as provided elsewhere in this chapter, shall comply with all of the laws, rules, regulations, and requirements applicable to the insurers chartered and licensed in this state and with Section 27-31A-4, to the extent the requirements are not a limitation on laws, rules, regulations, or requirements of this state. (a) The Director of ADECA may establish and administer the broadband accessibility grant program for the purpose of promoting the deployment and adoption of broadband Internet access services to unserved areas. By June 26, 2018, the director shall adopt rules and policies to administer the program and begin to accept applications for grants, and shall adopt such rules as may be necessary to meet the future needs of the grant program.
