Section 41-15-4 Value for which state property to be insured; annual certification; gap coverage
and gap plus coverage; survey of public property; sale or salvage of insured items. (a) All
covered property, unless otherwise provided in this section, shall be insured for no more
than its replacement cost and shall be insured for no less than 80 percent of its actual cash
value. Replacement cost coverage may be provided with an amount of insurance as agreed upon
by the proper insuring authority and the risk manager based upon a written statement of values.
Replacement cost shall be the cost to repair or replace property with comparable materials
of like kind and quality by generally accepted construction methods or technology to serve
the same function as the lost or damaged property. No payment for a loss shall exceed the

Section 39-2-12 Partial and final payments of contractors by awarding authorities. (a) As used
in this section the following words shall have the meanings ascribed to them as follows: (1)
CONTRACTOR. Any natural person, partnership, company, firm, corporation, association, limited
liability company, cooperative, or other legal entity licensed by the Alabama State Licensing
Board for General Contractors. (2) NONRESIDENT CONTRACTOR. A contractor which is neither a.

Section 27-22-43 Outline of coverage and comprehensive policy checklist. (a) No homeowners
personal lines residential property coverage insurance policy shall be delivered or
issued for delivery in this state unless an appropriate outline of coverage and comprehensive
policy checklist have been delivered to the policyholder prior to issuance, within 30 days
after issuance of the policy under separate cover, or included in the policy when issued or
mailed. The comprehensive policy checklist shall contain a list of provisions and elements,
whether or not they are included in the policy being issued, in a format that allows the insurer
to indicate what is and what is not included in the policy being issued. The outline of coverage

Section 41-14A-9 Procedures for payment of losses. (a) When the State Treasurer becomes aware
that a default or insolvency has occurred, the State Treasurer shall provide notice as required
in subsection (b) and implement the following procedures: (1) The State Treasurer shall obtain

Section 36-29-1 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
