Section 41-14-36 Receipt, etc., of fee, compensation, etc., for placement, etc., of state moneys
in time deposits, open account, demand deposits, etc. Any person who knowingly demands or
receives any fee, compensation or reward or who demands or accepts directly or indirectly
as payment or gift or otherwise any sum of money or other thing of value as an inducement
or in return for the placement of any funds or for assistance either directly or indirectly
in securing the placement of any moneys of the State of Alabama in time deposits, open account,
demand accounts or otherwise shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction, shall be imprisoned
for not more than three years or fined not more than $3,000.00 or both; and, in the event
the person convicted is an officer, agent or employee of the State of Alabama, he shall be

Multi-State Compliance Compact Act is enacted into law and entered into with all jurisdictions

Section 25-4-51 Rates of contributions, etc., by employers. (a) Contributions. Except as hereinafter
provided and subject to the provisions of Section 25-4-54, every employer shall pay contributions,
or payments in lieu of contributions, equal to the percentages of wages payable or paid as

Section 8-7A-2 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the

Section 5-20-3 Definitions. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, for the purposes of
this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings prescribed by this section: (1)
ALABAMA BANK. A bank which is organized under the laws of this state or of the United States
and which has its principal place of business in this state. (2) BANK. Any "insured bank"

Section 35-12-72 Presumption of abandonment. (a) Property is presumed abandoned if it is unclaimed
by the apparent owner during the time set forth below for the particular property: (1) Traveler's
checks, 15 years after issuance. (2) Money order, five years after issuance. (3) A demand,
savings, or time deposit including a deposit that is automatically renewable, three years

Section 37-3-20 Tariffs of common carriers. (a) Every common carrier by motor vehicle shall
file with the commission and keep open to the public inspection tariffs showing all the rates,
fares and charges for transportation and all services in connection therewith of passengers
or property in intrastate commerce in the State of Alabama between points on its own route
and between points on its own route and points on the route of any other such carrier, or
on the route of any common carrier by railroad or express, or water, when a through route
