Section 41-11-3 Election of members; nominations for new members. (a) The initial 10 members of the academy shall be elected by a committee appointed for such purpose by the Governor. New members, not to exceed 10 in any calendar year, shall be elected by the existing members of the academy. A majority of the votes cast by existing members shall be necessary for the election of each new member. Section 34-23-90 Authority; composition. (a) The Alabama State Board of Pharmacy is vested with the authority to carry out the purposes of and enforce this chapter. The board shall consist of five members who are citizens of this state.
