Section 16-52-4.1 Board of Trustees - Participation in meetings by electronic communications. Members of the Board of Trustees of Jacksonville State University may participate in a meeting of the board or committee by means of telephone conference, video conference, or similar communications equipment by means of which all persons participating in the meeting may hear each other at the same time. Participation by such means shall constitute presence in person at a meeting for all purposes. However, a majority of a quorum of the members of the board of trustees, or, in the event of a meeting of only the executive committee, a majority of a quorum of the executive committee of the board of trustees must be physically present at the location noticed and called for the meeting in order to conduct any business or deliberation. There is hereby created a State Committee of Public Health which shall be composed of 12 members of the board of censors of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the chairman of the four councils which are created in Section 22-2-9.
