Section 9-10-5 Powers and duties generally. The corporation organized and established under
this article shall have the following powers, subject only to the limitations described hereinafter:
(1) To adopt bylaws for the regulation of its affairs and the conduct of its business; (2)
To adopt, use and alter a corporate seal which shall be judicially noticed; (3) To maintain
a principal office at a place named in its papers of incorporation and a suboffice or suboffices
at such places as it may deem necessary; (4) To enter into such contracts and cooperative

Section 9-17-110 Liquefied Petroleum Gas Research and Education Advisory Committee. (a) The
Liquefied Petroleum Gas Research and Education Advisory Committee is created. The committee
shall consist of five members as follows: Two members shall be industrial members of the LP-Gas
Board appointed by the board chair; two members shall be either a dealer or a dealer's manager
who is a member of the Alabama Propane Gas Association appointed by the association's board
of directors; the fifth member shall be the Chair of the LP-Gas Board who shall serve as chair

in cooperation with public and private sector partners, shall establish a financing program
to provide financing to retailers to construct, rehabilitate, or expand grocery stores in
underserved communities in urban and rural low and moderate income areas. (b) The department
may contract with one or more qualified nonprofit organizations or community development financial
