Section 22-34-6 General powers. (a) The authority shall have the following powers, among others
specified by this chapter: (1) To have succession in its corporate name until the principal
of an interest on all bonds issued by it shall have been fully paid; (2) To sue and be sued
and to prosecute and defend, at law and in equity, in any court having jurisdiction of the
subject matter and of the parties thereto; (3) To have and to use a corporate seal and to
alter such seal at pleasure; (4) To establish a fiscal year; (5) To acquire in any manner
and to hold title to or leasehold interests in real and personal property and to sell, convey

Section 24-4A-3 Powers and duties of commission generally; insignia of approval; modification
of units prior to or during installation; authority of local government agencies; fee schedule;

Section 41-29-503 Authorization to make grants of money. (a) The authority is hereby authorized
to make grants of money derived from the sale of its bonds, to grantees for use by the grantees
for any one or more of the following purposes: (1) The making of surveys to determine the
location of suitable project sites in the locality of the grantee. (2) The making of surveys
to determine the availability of labor in the locality of the grantee and to classify such
labor in terms of skills and educational level. (3) The preparation of project sites. (4)

Section 11-92A-1 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) ARTICLES.
The articles of incorporation or articles of reincorporation of an authority. (2) AUTHORITY.

Section 41-14A-6 Establishment of SAFE board of directors; powers and duties of the board of

Section 45-19-200 County license inspector. (a) In Coosa County, there is created and established
the office of county license inspector. With the approval of the county commission, the chair
of the county commission shall appoint the license inspector, who shall serve at the pleasure
