Section 22-30F-8 Funding of a loan. (a) In order to provide for the funding of a loan by the authority for a project to the public body, such public body shall, to the extent required by the authority as a condition precedent to the making of a loan, establish a dedicated source of revenue to repay the moneys received from the authority and to provide for operation, maintenance, and equipment replacement expenses. Such public body is hereby authorized and empowered, any existing statute to the contrary notwithstanding, to do and perform any one or more of the following: (1) To obligate itself to pay to the authority at periodic intervals a sum sufficient to provide bond debt service with respect to the bonds of the authority issued to fund the loan for such project. Section 41-10-755 Bonds of the authority. (a) General. The authority is authorized from time to time to sell and issue its bonds for the purpose of providing funds to be transferred to and deposited in the Alabama Trust Fund and the Rainy Day Account, to provide additional funds to the Alabama Medicaid Agency, for paying the costs of transportation projects, and for the purpose of refunding any or all of the authority's outstanding bonds. Section 24-1-6 Establishment of rentals and tenant selection in low rent housing projects. (a) It is declared to be the policy of this state that each housing authority shall manage and operate its low rent housing projects in an efficient manner so as to enable it to fix the rentals for dwelling accommodations at the lowest possible rates consistent with its providing decent, safe, and sanitary dwelling accommodations for persons of low income, and that no housing authority shall construct or operate any such project for profit, or as a source of revenue of the city or town. Section 11-50A-21 Proceeds of bonds. Proceeds of the bonds issued under authority of this chapter shall be used solely for the payment of the costs of a project or combined projects, and any other corporate purposes of the authority, and shall be disbursed upon requisition or order of the persons and under such restrictions as the resolution authorizing the issuance of the bonds or the trust agreement or indenture may provide.
