Section 22-3A-2 Definitions. The following words and phrases used in this chapter, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, shall have the following respective meanings: (1) AUTHORITY. The public corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. (2) BONDS. The bonds issued under the provisions of this chapter. (3) COUNTY BOARD(S) OF HEALTH. County board(s) of health provided for in Chapter 3 of Subtitle 1 of Title 22. (4) DIRECTORS. The board of directors of the authority. (5) GOVERNMENT SECURITIES. Section 2-6-76 Powers of corporation - Issuance and sale of securities. Section 41-10-755 Bonds of the authority. (a) General. The authority is authorized from time to time to sell and issue its bonds for the purpose of providing funds to be transferred to and deposited in the Alabama Trust Fund and the Rainy Day Account, to provide additional funds to the Alabama Medicaid Agency, for paying the costs of transportation projects, and for the purpose of refunding any or all of the authority's outstanding bonds. Section 41-10-363 Refunding bonds; proceeds of sale of refunding bonds. Any bonds issued by the authority under this article may from time to time thereafter be refunded by the issuance of refunding bonds of the authority. Section 9-10A-15 Issuance of bonds. Bonds authorized by Section 9-10A-14 shall not be issued until proposed by order or resolution of the board of directors of the watershed management authority specifying the purpose for which the funds are to be used and the proposed undertaking, the amount of bonds to be issued and the rate of interest they are to bear and are approved by the Director of the state Department of Finance. Section 2-6-117 Disposition of refunding bond proceeds. (a) The proceeds of refunding bonds shall be applied, together with any other moneys legally available, to the payment of the expenses authorized by this article and to the payment of the principal of, premium, if any, and interest due and to become due on any outstanding bonds to be refunded.
