Section 41-10-351 Definitions. The following terms hereafter used in this article shall have the following respective meanings: (1) AUTHORITY. The public corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of this article. (2) BONDS. The bonds issued under the provisions of this article. (3) COMMISSIONER. The Commissioner of Mental Health. (4) DEPARTMENT. The Department of Mental Health provided for in Chapter 50 of Subtitle 2 of Title 22. (5) DIRECTORS. The board of directors of the authority. (6) MENTAL HEALTH FACILITIES. Section 22-51-1 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, unless otherwise indicated, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) CONSTRUCTION and CONSTRUCT. The Interstate Compact on Mental Health is hereby enacted into law and entered into by this state with all other states legally joining therein in the form substantially as follows: INTERSTATE COMPACT ON MENTAL HEALTH The contracting states solemnly agree that: Article I The party states find that the proper and expeditious treatment of the mentally ill and mentally deficient can be facilitated by cooperative action to the benefit of the patients, their families and society as a whole.
