Section 31-13-6 Enforcement of and compliance with state immigration laws; information relating to immigration status; violations; penalties. (a) No official or agency of this state or any political subdivision thereof, including, but not limited to, an officer of a court of this state, may adopt a policy or practice that limits or restricts the enforcement of this chapter to less than the full extent permitted by this chapter or that in any way limits communication between its officers or officials in furtherance of the enforcement of this chapter. (a) For the purposes of this section, the term public assistance benefits means money or property provided directly or indirectly to eligible persons through programs of the federal government, the state, or any political subdivision thereof, and administered by the Alabama Department of Human Resources.
