Section 11-2-1 Bonds requirements. (a) For the purposes of this chapter, the following words

Section 45-12-241.01 Privilege license tax for mandatory solid waste disposal program. (a)
This section shall only apply to Choctaw County. (b) As used in this section, state sales
and use tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes, including, but
not limited to, Sections 40-23-1, 40-23-2, 40-23-3, 40-23-4, 40-23-60, 40-23-61, 40-23-62,
and 40-23-63 of the Code of Alabama 1975. (c) The County Commission of Choctaw County may
levy, in addition to all other taxes, a privilege license tax against gross sales in an amount
up to two cents which shall be exclusively for the operational fund of the county mandatory

Section 45-14-140.01 Finance charge or tax assessed on forest lands. (a) After the Clay County
Commission has determined that such a need does exist in Clay County, the county commission
may, in the manner hereinafter specified, provide for a finance charge or tax to be paid by
the owners of forest lands located in Clay County for the use of the land for timber growing
purposes amounting to the whole or any part of the cost of such fire protection program, but
not in excess of ten cents ($.10) per acre, provided such finance charge or tax is not greater
than the benefit accruing to such forest lands due to availability of such fire protection.
(b) "Forest lands" as used in this article shall mean any land which supports a
forest growth, or which under prevailing natural and economic conditions may be expected to
support such a growth in the future, or which is being used or reserved for any forest purpose.

Section 45-23-240.44 Payment of tax required for issuance of license. To prevent motor vehicles
from escaping taxation and to provide for a more efficient procedure for assessment and collection
of taxes due on same, no licenses shall be issued to operate motor vehicles on the public
highways of this state, nor shall any transfer be made by the tax assessor until the ad valorem
tax on such vehicles shall have been paid to the county for the preceding year as evidenced
by receipt from the tax assessor. Every person, firm, or corporation driving or owning a motor
