Section 5-12A-1 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following
meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) TRUST INSTITUTION.
Any state bank, any national bank or any trust company authorized to act in a fiduciary capacity
in this state and under the supervision of the Comptroller of the Currency of the United States
or the Federal Reserve System, or the Superintendent of Banks of the State of Alabama. (2)
AFFILIATED TRUST INSTITUTION. A trust institution which, together with one or more other trust
institutions, are each owned or controlled by a bank holding company which is under the supervision

where sale held; record of decrees. Any property, real or personal, held by joint owners
or tenants in common, on the written application of any one or more of them, may be decreed

Section 11-92A-16 Use of bonds, proceeds, etc. (a) The proceeds from the sale of any bonds
shall be applied as provided in the proceedings in which the bonds are authorized to be issued,
including without limitation, the payment of all legal, fiscal, and recording fees and expenses
incurred in connection with the authorization, sale, and issuance of the bonds and, if so
provided in the proceedings authorizing their issuance, interest on said bonds (or if only
a part of any issue of bonds is issued for acquisition purposes, interest on that portion
of the bonds of that issue that is issued to pay acquisition costs) for a reasonable period
prior to and during the time required for the acquisition, construction, and equipping of

Section 26-9-4 Limitations as to appointment of guardians. Except as provided in this chapter,
it shall be unlawful for any person to accept appointment as guardian of any ward if such
proposed guardian shall at that time be acting as guardian for five wards. In any case, upon
presentation of a petition by an attorney of the administration under this section alleging
that a guardian is acting in a fiduciary capacity for more than five wards and requesting
his or her discharge for that reason, the court, upon proof substantiating the petition, shall
require a final accounting forthwith from such guardian and shall discharge such guardian
in the case. The limitations of this section shall not apply where the guardian is a bank

of each county shall cause to be prepared and furnished to each judge of probate a well-bound

Section 26-2A-152 Powers of conservator in administration. (a) Subject to limitation provided
in Section 26-2A-154, a conservator shall have all of the powers conferred in this section
and any additional powers now or hereafter conferred by law on trustees in this state. In

Section 41-10-626 Bonds of the authority. (a) General. The authority is authorized from time
to time to sell and issue its bonds in limited amounts and for the purpose of promoting economic
development and industrial recruitment as specified by the Legislature from time to time by
