Section 45-41A-10.08 Powers of authority. (a) The authority shall have the following powers,
together with all powers incidental thereto or necessary to the discharge thereof in corporate
form: (1) To have succession by its corporate name for the duration of time (which may be
perpetuity, subject to Section 45-41A-10.19) specified in its certificate of incorporation.

in this chapter, and subject to the express provisions of its certificate of incorporation,

Section 39-2-12 Partial and final payments of contractors by awarding authorities. (a) As used
in this section the following words shall have the meanings ascribed to them as follows: (1)
CONTRACTOR. Any natural person, partnership, company, firm, corporation, association, limited
liability company, cooperative, or other legal entity licensed by the Alabama State Licensing

Section 40-9D-4 Enhancement of abatements and capital credits. (a) For the entities that qualify
under this chapter, an abatement shall be allowed for ad valorem taxes. Such abatement shall
follow the provisions and definitions of Chapter 9B of this title with the following exceptions:
(1) The maximum exemption period as provided in subdivision (10) of Section 40-9B-3 shall

Section 40-9A-2 Private user leasing private use property from government required to file
report; inability to file information; information needed in report. (a) Any private user
of private use property leased by the private user from a municipality, county, or public
authority of the State of Alabama shall, not later than January 1, 1993, file with the tax
assessor of the county in which the leased property is located, the information required by

Section 40-9B-6 Procedure for granting abatement. (a) Any person who proposes to become a private
user of industrial development property or of a major addition may apply to the governing
body of any municipality, county, or public industrial authority, at or about the time that
the private user is requesting inducement, for an abatement of all of the taxes allowed to
be abated under Section 40-9B-4 with respect to such property. The application shall contain
