Section 45-33-240.25 Performance of duties; salary. The county revenue commissioner shall collect and pay into the general fund of the county all fees, percentages, commissions, and other allowances which the tax assessor and the tax collector are now or hereafter by law authorized or directed to charge or collect for the performance of any duty imposed by law on any such officers and hereby transferred to and imposed on the county revenue commissioner. As compensation for performance of the duties of the office, the revenue commissioner shall receive a salary of not less than twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) and not more than thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) payable in 12 equal monthly installments, with the exact amount to be set by resolution of the Hale County Commission prior to the revenue commissioner taking office. If any distributor, retail dealer, or storer in gasoline or motor fuel fails to make monthly reports or fails to pay the tax imposed under this part, the tax shall be deemed delinquent.
