Section 22-35-4 Alabama Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund. There is hereby created the Alabama Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund, hereinafter referred to as the "fund," to be administered by the Secretary-Treasurer of the Retirement Systems of Alabama. The fund shall be used by the department as a revolving fund for carrying out the purposes of this chapter. The fund is not an insurance company and the laws relating to the conduct of business in this state by an insurance company do not apply to the fund. A decision that underground or aboveground storage tanks are ineligible for benefits under the fund does not expose the fund, the director, department, or commission to a claim of bad faith as such terms are used in general insurance law. Further, in no event shall combined claims against the fund for payment of response actions and third-party claims exceed the per occurrence indemnification limit set by the commission. Section 40-17-274 Disbursement. (a) The proceeds of the tax herein levied accruing to the State of Alabama, less the actual costs of collection, shall be paid by the department to the State Treasurer for disbursement as follows: (1) That portion of the tax that is attributable to the use of motor fuel subject to the gasoline tax shall be disbursed in the manner provided by law for the disbursement of the proceeds of the gasoline tax. Section 11-3-11.3 Collection of local taxes - Department of Revenue. (a) Counties may, upon request of the county commission, engage the Department of Revenue to collect and administer any county sales, use, rental, lodgings, tobacco, or other local taxes for which there is a corresponding state levy. Section 22-30B-2.1 Annual payments to counties; guaranteed amount; distribution of funds. (a) There is hereby provided to all counties having less than 25,000 population and wherein on April 17, 1990, a commercial site for the disposal of hazardous waste or hazardous substances is located, an annual payment of two and one-half percent of the gross receipts generated by Section 22-30B-2 as provided herein over those fees in existence on October 1, 1989. Section 11-98-5.2 911 Fund. (a) Effective October 1, 2013, the 911 Fund shall be created as an insured interest-bearing account into which the 911 Board shall deposit all revenues derived from the service charge levied on voice communications service providers under this chapter and all prepaid wireless 911 charges received from the department.
