Section 20-2-190 Penalties; sale of ephedrine, etc.; Alabama Drug Abuse Task Force. (a) Any
person who manufactures, sells, transfers, receives, or possesses a listed precursor chemical
violates this article if the person: (1) Knowingly fails to comply with the reporting requirements
of this article; (2) Knowingly makes a false statement in a report or record required by this
article or the rules adopted thereunder; (3) Is required by this article to have a listed
precursor chemical license or permit, and is a person as defined by this article, and knowingly
or deliberately fails to obtain such a license or permit. An offense under this subsection
shall constitute a Class C felony. (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 20-2-188,

Section 28-3-190 Levy of tax; collection; disposition of proceeds by localities; enforcement
and administration; penalties; exclusive nature of tax. (a) Levy. In addition to the excise
tax levied by Article 5A of Chapter 3 of this title and the licenses provided for by Chapter
3A of this title and by Section 28-3-194, and any acts amendatory thereof, supplementary thereto

Section 14-14-4 Establishment of furlough program. (a) The department shall establish a medical
furlough program. The commissioner shall adopt the rules and regulations for implementation
of the medical furlough program. For each person considered for medical furlough, the commissioner
shall determine whether the person is a geriatric inmate, permanently incapacitated inmate,

Section 40-23-195 Rulemaking authority; recordkeeping. (a) The department may adopt, promulgate,
and enforce reasonable rules and regulations related to the implementation, administration,
and participation in the program. The department shall have exclusive responsibility for reviewing

2013, the Department of Revenue shall develop and make available a system which allows any
taxpayer required to file and remit a state, county, or municipal sales or use tax or a state,
county, or municipal leasing or rental tax or a state, county, or municipal lodgings tax the
ability to file and remit such sales and use tax or leasing or rental tax or lodgings tax

Section 40-29B-4 Eligibility. (a) Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, and
except as provided in subsection (b) of Section 40-29B-3, the following taxes are eligible
for amnesty: (1) Taxes due prior to January 1, 2017. (2) Taxes for taxable periods that began
before January 1, 2017. (b) Participation in the amnesty program shall be conditioned upon

Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence
in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with
tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to
requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer
has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among
