Section 5-24-1 Definitions. In this chapter: (1) ACCOUNT means a contract of deposit between a depositor and a financial institution, and includes a checking account, savings account, time deposit, certificate of deposit, and share account. (2) AGENT means a person authorized to make account transactions for a party. (3) BENEFICIARY means a person named as one to whom sums on deposit in an account are payable on request after death of all parties or for whom a party is named as trustee. (4) DEVISEE means any person designated in a will to receive a testamentary disposition of real or personal property. Section 40-18-293 Alabama income and financial institution excise tax credit. (a) An Alabama income and financial institution excise tax credit is hereby established for small businesses that create new jobs paying more than ten dollars ($10) per hour. The credit shall equal one thousand dollars ($1,000) and shall be available in the tax year during which the employee has completed 12 months of consecutive employment. (b) The employer must have a net increase in the total number of full time employees in Alabama on the last date of each tax year during which employees are hired for which the employer claims a credit, over the number employed in Alabama as of the last day of the tax year immediately preceding the first employment year. Section 40-16-4 Levy; reporting of tax; promulgation of rules. Section 5-22-3 Record of currency transactions; report on written request; when no longer required; compliance with federal law sufficient; multiple transactions; disclosures. (a) Every financial institution shall keep a record of each of its currency transactions as required by 31 U.S.C. §5313 and regulations pursuant thereto, as the same may be amended from time to time ("federal monetary transaction records and reports requirement").
