Section 38-13-2 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) ADULT. An individual 19 years of age and older. (2) ADULT CARE FACILITY. A person or entity holding a Department of Human Resources license or approval or certification to provide care, including foster care, for adults. (3) APPLICANT. A person or entity who submits an application for license as a child care or adult care facility to the Department of Human Resources or a child placing agency, or an application for employment or for a volunteer position to a Department of Human Resources licensed child care or adult care facility. With regard to child care and adult care facilities in a home setting, the term includes an adult household member whose residence is in the home. Section 45-37-40.04 License - Application; hearings; appeals; fees. (a) Every applicant for a barbers license, apprentice barbers license, barber teacher license, scalp specialist license, or a license to operate a barber shop or barbers college, or other like business, shall apply therefor in writing on blanks prepared or furnished by the barbers commission. Section 34-4-21 Application and examination; fees; expiration, renewal of licenses; continuing education; discharge of apprentice; change of address. (a) Any person desiring to enter into the auction business and obtain a license as an auctioneer or apprentice auctioneer shall make written application for a license to the board. Section 34-43-11 Licensing of establishments. (a) Establishments shall be licensed by the board. A sexually oriented business may not be licensed as an establishment and shall not operate as an establishment licensed pursuant to this chapter. (b) Establishments shall employ only licensed massage therapists to perform massage therapy. (c) The board shall provide by rule, for a fair and reasonable procedure to grant exemptions from the licensure requirement of this section when the applicant can show that the advertising of massage therapy services is incidental to the primary function of his or her business.
