Section 40-9-40 (Effective October 1, 2014) Sale of certain durable medical equipment, prosthetics and orthotics devices, and medical supplies. THIS SECTION WAS ASSIGNED BY THE CODE COMMISSIONER IN THE 2013 REGULAR SESSION, EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2014. THIS IS NOT IN THE CURRENT CODE SUPPLEMENT. (a) All municipalities shall have the following powers: (1) To license any exhibition, trade, business, vocation, occupation, or profession not prohibited by the Constitution or laws of the state which may be engaged in or carried on in the municipality.
