Section 40-23-2 Tax levied on gross receipts; certain sales exempt; disposition of funds. (a) Every person, firm, or corporation residing in or owning a motor vehicle which is principally used in Escambia County who desires to operate a motor vehicle on the public highways of Alabama shall first return the motor vehicle for ad valorem taxation and sales taxation to the tax collector. Section 8-32-3 Requirements for selling or offering to sell service contracts. (a) Either the provider or its designee shall: (1) Provide a receipt for, or other written evidence of, the purchase of the service contract to the contract holder. (2) Provide a copy of the service contract to the service contract holder within a reasonable period of time from the date of purchase.
