Section 39-1-3 Reimbursement allowed for additional taxes incurred due to increase in tax rate
during performance of contract. Any contractor performing a public works contract in which
any state, county, or municipal funds are utilized shall be allowed reimbursement for any
additional severance, sales, or use taxes incurred by the contractor as a result of an increase
in the rate of severance, sales, or use taxes imposed during the time of performance of the
contract. Time of performance shall be the time the contractor submits the bid until completion

Section 40-10-199 Retention of tax liens not sold at auction; private tax lien sales; reporting.
(a) Tax liens that are not sold at the tax lien auction conducted by the tax collecting official
shall be separated in the tax lien auction list as prescribed by Section 40-10-183 and the
county shall retain the lien pursuant to Section 40-1-3. The tax collecting official, within
45 days after the tax lien auction date, may sell at private sale an unsold tax lien for no
less than all taxes, interest, penalties, costs, and fees. The purchaser at private sale shall
be entitled to interest on the amount paid at a rate agreed to by the tax collecting official,

Section 11-3-11.3 Collection of local taxes - Department of Revenue. (a) Counties may, upon
request of the county commission, engage the Department of Revenue to collect and administer
any county sales, use, rental, lodgings, tobacco, or other local taxes for which there is
a corresponding state levy. Subject to subsections (d) and (e) below, the department shall

Section 45-21-242.12 Paralleling privilege license tax. (a) The county commission is authorized
to levy and impose as provided for in this part, in addition to all other taxes, including
municipal gross receipts license taxes now imposed by law, a special county privilege license
