Section 11-97-9 Bonds of corporation generally. (a) Any corporation shall have the power to issue, sell and deliver at any time and from time to time its bonds in such principal amount or amounts as its board shall determine to be necessary to provide sufficient funds for achieving any of its corporate purposes, including the payment of interest on any of its bonds, the establishment of reserves to secure any such bonds and all other expenditures of such corporation incident to and necessary or convenient to carry out its corporate purposes and powers. Any corporation shall also have the power to issue from time to time bonds to renew bonds and bonds to pay bonds, including interest thereon and, whenever it deems refunding expedient, to refund any bonds by the issuance of new bonds, whether the bonds to be refunded have or have not matured, and to issue bonds partly to refund bonds then outstanding and partly for any other of its corporate purposes. Section 10A-2A-14.14 Election to purchase in lieu of dissolution. (a) In a proceeding under Section 10A-2A-14.10(a)(2) to dissolve a corporation, the corporation may elect or, if it fails to elect, one or more stockholders may elect to purchase all stock owned by the petitioning stockholder at the fair value of the stock. An election pursuant to this section shall be irrevocable unless the court determines that it is equitable to set aside or modify the election. Section 17-3-5 Compensation and allowances for registrars; treatment as state employees. (a) Each registrar shall receive a salary in the amount of eighty dollars ($80) per day for each day's attendance upon business of the board, to be paid by the state and disbursed to the county commissions and disbursed by the county commissions to each registrar on order of a quorum of the board of registrars of the county. Section 34-14A-15 Recovery fund. (a) The board may establish a Homeowners' Recovery Fund for the purpose of consumer protection, consumer education, and consumer awareness. An aggrieved homeowner may recover actual economic damages, not including interest and court costs, sustained within the state as the direct result of conduct of a licensee in violation of this chapter or the rules of the board from the Homeowners' Recovery Fund.
