Section 27-4A-3 Generally. (a) Subject to the exceptions and exemptions hereinafter set forth,
for the year beginning on January 1, 1995, and for each year thereafter, every insurer shall
pay to the commissioner a premium tax equal to the percentage, as set out in this subsection,

Section 40-18-413 (Per Section 40-18-416, this section is repealed following the close of fiscal
year 2020) Scope and use of Growing Alabama Credits. (a) A taxpayer is allowed a Growing Alabama
Credit to be applied against the tax levied by this chapter. In no event shall the Growing
Alabama Credit cause a taxpayer's income tax liability to be reduced by more than 50 percent.
Unused credits may be carried forward for no more than five years. (b) Growing Alabama Credits
shall be granted to taxpayers using an online system administered by the Department of Revenue.
The online system shall allow taxpayers to agree to make a cash contribution to an economic
development organization which was approved by the Renewal of Alabama Commission, as provided

Section 7-4-401 When bank may charge customer's account. (a) A bank may charge against the
account of a customer an item that is properly payable from that account even though the charge
creates an overdraft. An item is properly payable if it is authorized by the customer and
is in accordance with any agreement between the customer and bank. (b) A customer is not liable
for the amount of an overdraft if the customer neither signed the item nor benefited from

Section 16-6D-9 Tax credit claims; administrative accountability; verification of requirements;
rules and procedures. (a)(1) An individual taxpayer who files a state income tax return and
is not claimed as a dependent of another taxpayer, a taxpayer subject to the corporate income
tax levied by Chapter 18 of Title 40, an Alabama S corporation as defined in Section 40-18-160,
or a Subchapter K entity as defined in Section 40-18-1 may claim a credit for a contribution
made to a scholarship granting organization. If the credit is claimed by an Alabama S corporation
or Subchapter K entity, the credit shall pass through to and may be claimed by any taxpayer
eligible to claim a credit under this subdivision who is a shareholder, partner, or member
thereof, based on the taxpayer's pro rata or distributive share, respectively, of the credit.

Section 24-6-3 Advisory board. (a) The advisory board of the commission shall be composed of
nine advisory only members, each of whom shall have been a resident of Alabama for at least
