Section 2-17-1 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) COMMISSIONER. The Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries of the State of Alabama or his duly authorized representative. (2) FIRM. Any partnership, association or other unincorporated business organization. (3) MEAT BROKER. Section 22-28-12 Motor vehicle emissions. (a) As the state of knowledge and technology relating to the control of emissions from motor vehicles may permit or make appropriate, and in furtherance of the purposes of this chapter, the commission may provide by rules and regulations for the control of emissions from any class or classes of motor vehicles. Section 27-6A-4 Contract requirements. No person, firm, association, or corporation acting in the capacity of a managing general agent shall place business with an insurer unless there is in force a written contract between the parties that sets forth the responsibilities of each party and where both parties share responsibility for a particular function, specifies the division of such responsibilities, and that contains the following minimum provisions: (a) The insurer may terminate the contract for cause upon written notice to the managing general agent. Section 37-3-22 Accounts, records and reports. (a) The commission is hereby authorized to require annual, periodical or special reports from all motor carriers, to prescribe the manner and form in which such reports shall be made and to require from such carrier specific answers to all questions upon which the commission may deem information to be necessary.
