Section 45-43-246.87 Charge for collection. The collection agency may charge Lowndes
County for collecting the tax levied pursuant to this subpart in an amount or percentage of
total collections as may be agreed upon by the collection agency and the Lowndes County Commission.
The charge shall not exceed five percent of the total amount of the tax collected in the county.
The charge may be deducted each month from the gross revenues from the tax before certification
of the amount of the proceeds due Lowndes County for that month. The collection agency shall
pay into the Lowndes County General Fund all amounts collected under this subpart, as the
tax is received by the collection agency on or before the first day of each successive month.
The collection agency shall certify to the county commissioner the amount collected and paid
into the county general fund during the month immediately preceding the certification. The

Section 45-45-83.75 Collection and disposition of funds. (a) After a matter has been
transferred to the district attorney under Section 45-45-83.73, a court shall assess
a collection fee of 30 percent of the funds due which shall be added to the amount of funds
due. Any amount collected pursuant to this subpart shall be distributed as follows: (1) Seventy-five
percent of the collection fee shall be distributed to the County District Attorney Fund to
be expended for lawful purposes for the operation of the office of the district attorney.
Funds provided to the district attorney by this subpart shall not reduce the amount payable
to the district attorney under any local act or general act or reduce or affect the amounts

Section 22-6-196 Privilege assessment - Failure to pay. Any PACE provider that fails
to pay the assessment levied by this article within the time required by this article shall
pay, in addition to the assessment, a penalty of 10 percent of the amount of assessment due,
together with interest thereon at the rate prescribed by Section 40-1-44, the penalty
and interest to be assessed and collected as part of the taxes. Provided, however, the department,
if a good and sufficient reason is shown, may waive or remit the penalty of 10 percent or
a portion thereof. If payment is not received by the last day of the month, the department
shall notify the Medicaid Agency which shall determine whether the PACE provider is a Medicaid

Section 40-26B-81 Medicaid hospital access payments. (a) If the Medicaid Agency begins
making payments pursuant to Article 9 of Chapter 6 of Title 22, on or before September 30,

(a) For purposes of this section the following terms shall have the following meanings:
