Section 40-14A-34 (Repealed for taxable years beginning on or after January 1, 2002.) Definition
of taxable shares base. The taxable shares base shall be determined as follows: (a) Multiply
the corporation's initial taxable shares base by the apportionment factor used to apportion
the corporation's income to Alabama for purposes of the Alabama income tax in accordance with
Chapter 18 or that would be used if the corporation were subject to income tax under Chapter

Section 40-18-21 Credits for taxes paid on income from sources outside the state and for job
development fees. (a)(1) For the purpose of ascertaining the income tax due under the provisions
of this chapter by individual residents of Alabama whose gross income, as defined herein,
is derived from sources both within and outside the State of Alabama, there shall be allowed
a credit against the amount of tax found to be due by such resident, on account of income

Section 32-2-10 Insurance for employees. The state Department of Public Safety is authorized,
subject to approval by the Governor, to insure its employees in some insurance company or
companies authorized to do business in the State of Alabama against personal injury or death
caused by accident or violence while discharging their duties as such employees; provided,

Section 36-29-6 Authorization and execution of contracts; documentation of benefits. (a) The
board is hereby authorized to execute a contract or contracts to provide the plan determined
in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. Such contract or contracts may be executed
with one or more agencies or corporations licensed to transact or administer group health
insurance business in this state. All of the benefits to be provided under this chapter may
